GEORGE B. GREER, in March of 1918, was serving in Badonvillier Sector when he was given a message to be delivered to the Commander at the front. He was wounded in the back by a shell fragment but stayed on his feet to deliver the message. Thirteen years later at War Memorial Plaza he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for valor under fire.
Mr. Greer was a LIFE MEMBER of the Legion of Valor and resided in Maryland.
