J.W. THOMASON, was awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism while serving aboard the USS Harder. He led a team to an enemy held island to rescue a downed aviator. Despite hostile sniper fire from the beach, he found the aviator and brought him back to the submarine.

Mr. Thomason was a LIFE MEMBER of the Legion of Valor and resided in California.

He was also the Founder of the Sizzler Steak Houses.
