COLONEL WILLIAM D. DUNHAM, DSC, USAF Hq. 81 Tactical Fighter Wing APO 755, New York, N.Y., scored 16 victories against the Japanese while flying over 200 combat missions in World War II. He also holds two awards of the Silver Star, four of the Distinguished Flying Cross and eight of the Air Medal. In addition to his 16 aerial victories, Col. Dunham also destroyed two Jap troop transports.
Colonel Dunham joined the Legion of Valor in 1961.
