GEORGE A. VAUGHN was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross as a pilot.

His wife writes, “His death was quite sudden as the day or so before he had been the speaker at the graduation of a large class of graduate students of the Air Force at Maxwell Field, Alabama.” She also writes that he so enjoyed playing around in the clouds when he flew his “camel.” He was 92 when he died. Mr. Vaughn was a LIFE MEMBER of the Legion of Valor and resided in New York.
