MAJOR WILLIAM P. ROBINSON was awarded the Air Force Cross for extraordinary heroism in operations near Hanoi, North Vietnam on July 5, 1966. In a specially equipped F105 Thunderchief, he led a flight against hostile SA-2 surface to air missile sites. Despite heavy and intense ground fire, he destroyed three sites and inflicted heavy damage on a fourth.

Maj. Robinson had been a member of the L.O.V. since 1968 and resided in Arizona.
