MASTER SERGEANT ANDRE J. BOUCHARDON, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy, in enemy occupied territory, from August, 1943 to March, 1944. During this period, Sergeant Bouchardon, acting as radio operator to an American officer, was responsible for the transmission of operational information by radio to England. This information permitted this officer to build up a strong resistance network. Sergeant Bouchardon was severly wounded while carrying out this mission, but managed to escape and return to England. The actions on the part of Sergeant Bouchardon on this dangerous mission reflect great credit upon himself and the armed forces of the United States. Entered military service from Great Britain.
Mr. Bouchardon was the National Commander 1980-1981. He died on Aug 29, 2014 while living in North Vernon, IN.
