CHARLES G. CARLSON, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his heroic act in WWI while serving with the Army 33rd Division. He delivered a message while wounded and under fire in a gas-filled trench in France. The French awarded him their highest medal.

Mr. Carlson resided in Illinois.
