Edwin E NehlsAfter being driven from the sector near Pau-gol, Korea in 1953, Sergeant First Class Edwin E. Nehls immediately organized a patrol of five men and led them into the midst of the enemy forces. In a standing position he delivered small arms and grenades until forced to withdraw. He then led an element of the counter-attacking forces and engaged in hand-to-hand combat. Although wounded, Sgt Nehls refused to leave until the enemy troops had been completely repulsed.

Mr. Nehls is a LIFE MEMBER and resides in Wisconsin.
