Captain GEORGE T. FLEET recieved the Distinguished Service Cross for Extraordinary heroism for actions amid showers of machine gun bullets and artillery shells of all calibers at Berzy-le-Sec, France, 21 July 1918. He gallantly proceeded to the front lines for vital information needed by the Division Commander and accomplished his mission in spite of the great danger to which he was exposed.
Captain Fleet became a member of the Legion of Valor on the 21st day of November 1919 and became a LIFE MEMBER in 1971. He resided in Texas.
