Lawrence P Bischoff

LAWRENCE P. BISCHOFF was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism in actions near Urbach, Germany on April 12, 1945. When the convoy he was protecting with anti-aircraft artillery was ambushed, he exposed himself to hostile fire and organized a defense. During the fighting, he carried a wounded man to safety, drove two trucks to cover, and ran across a field swept by enemy fire to contact friendly tanks.

Mr. Bischoff joined the Legion of Valor in 1950.
