BRIG GEN RICHARD S. KOTITE, a veteran of three wars, he received the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism in Korea as a First Lieutenant of the 23rd Infantry for action on February 15, 1951. He also served two tours in Vietnam, and after he retired became a director in a law firm.

Mr. Kotite had been a member of the Legion of Valor since 1958.
