LT SAM M. HOLLADAY, JR., was awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism as pilot of a torpedo bomber in actions against the enemy fleet forces near the Central Philippine Island on October 24, 1944. Despite intense antiaircraft fire, he obtained a torpedo hit on a very large enemy battleship.

Mr. Holladay was a life member since 1946.
