SGT Thomas Ono

SERGEANT FIRST CLASS THOMAS ONO, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism on June 2, 1944, near La Torretto, Italy. As squad leader, he and his companions neutralized five German machine guns, five machine pistols, and killed or captured 17 Germans within approximately three hours.

SERGEANT Ono had been a member of the Legion of Valor since 1959.
