CPT Travis H Scott Jr

TRAVIS H. SCOTT, JR.,United States Air Force: For exdtraordinary heroism in military operations against an opposing armed force as an HH-53 C Aircraft Commander in Southeast Asia on 15 April 1970.

On that date, Captain Scott was killed while serving as an aircraft commander in a helicopter rescue near Dak Nay Puey, Republic of Vietnam. In an attempt to rescue survivors from a downed UH-1 helicopter, Scott made three attempts to reach the crash site. His aircraft was shot down on his last attempt.

Captain Scott was awarded the Air Force Cross posthumously and enrolled into the Legion of Valor in 2005.
