Corporal VICTOR KOZARES, recieved the Distinguished Service Cross while serving with E Company, 27th Infantry Regiment (the Wolfhounds), 25th Infantry Division in Korea. On 6 February 1951, Corpordal Kozares breached the enemy defenses by the skillful use of hand grenades, charged into the nearest enemy emplacement killing two of the foe with bayonet and one with rifle fire and cointinued his assault through the enemy positions killing many more with bayonet and rifle fire. His courage and aggressiveness were a prime factor in the successful accomplishment of E Company’s mission.
Mr. Kozares joined the Legion of Valor in 1961 and resides in Pennsylvania.
