Mr. Fore resided in South Carolina.

Editor’s note: Mr. Fore was survived by his brother, James E. Fore, DSC, Orlando, FL. The Fore brothers, both members of the Legion of Valor, each held the rank of sergeant in E Company, 118th Infantry, 30th Division when their heroic feats were recognized by award of the Distinguished Service Cross. Both deeds of extraordinary heroism took place in October, 1918, about ten days apart. By his death, the only pair of brothers to receive the Distinguished Service Cross in World War I has been dissolved.
