LOV National Chaplain Christmas Blessing

As we approach the Christmas Season, it is time to take inventory of our lives and remember that in life we have four friends. In order to see the rainbow, you must first endure some rain. In order to enjoy life, you must first endure some pain. There is no magic Orchard where you pick the fruit and you are an instant success. We must strive to work hard, learn as much as we can, treat people with respect and keep our faith in our Lord and Savior. I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord…plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Your fourth friend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die. Your third friend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you die, it will go to others. Your second friend is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the grave.. And your first friend is your spirit; often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power, pleasure of the world and problems that we encounter. However, your spirit is the only thing that will follow you wherever you go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of you that will follow you to the throne of God and continue with you throughout Eternity. God Bless all of you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
